The Bald Truth

Let's face the bald truth. People really don't care til it personally affects their lives, or til it hits home. We need to take responsibilitiy as a whole society and stop turning the other way (just like when you see a woman with a bald head ). Don't look at children with cancer (or bald women) like there is something wrong with them. One day it could be someone close to you that has cancer if not already. These young cancer victims are crying out for a chance at life and no matter how hard they fight or how courageous they seem to be living their lives, they are losing the battle. They need us, they need you, they need me! If you are trying to fill a void in your life, if you need something bigger than life itself to fill yours, you have found it. You just need to take action. One day I was watching videos on YouTube and happened to end up watching ones made by parents of children that are still living or have passed due to childhood cancer. To think of the time and love that was put into each and every video, them showing images from the time of their child's birth to what they are going through now or did go through. Some even showing pictures of a small child lying in a casket. I had to face the truth, that these videos aren't watched by many and that a lot of people might come across one of these videos and quickly move onto another one with no concern to watch this particular one in full.. Probably only watched by peole whose lives have been affected by cancer personally. It made me cry and saddened me about life's reality. But I decided not to let this discourage me. And I still see a light and much hope no matter how dark it may sometimes feel. So this is where I'm at now. I move forward without any clue as to where I may be heading in my desire to help in the Awareness of Childhood Cancer.
